  No really sure why the Federal Government is inserting itself in the issues with the airlines.

  I guess the Administration thinks it can buy a vote or two by forcing airlines to charge more money to everyone because they now are mandated to pay out money based upon some arbitrary condition that was no doubt vetted in a focus group.
