dodged one bullet...

oldemagics

and now facing a new one

original oncologist left, new one taking over

first one insisted the "numbers" (antigen) proved everything and because they were so low the spots COULDNT be cancer spreading... she was wrong

numbers shot WAY upwards in last two tests after switching to a "more aggressive" chemo and concerned new guy enough that he moved a scan up to just 3 days after the blood test

turns out the new treatment IS helping and the numbers are ??

original tumor is a bit smaller, the spots on the liver are reduced and the questionable spot on the lung are GONE !

talk about a roller coaster ride the past 2 weeks !

the bad news is, they also did a dna breakdown of the tumor and it has mutated to a version that very little is known about, so curent treatment is not going to do it in the long run, and need to start searching for a research hospital that might have something that i could be a guinea pig for...

but at least one small win !

now if this new treatment didnt have me so exhausted and sick all the time...

    About the time Sunshine was diagnosed with Lymphoma we bought a new 2018 Pacifica in that new bronze color she loved.

    After I lost her last year (Covid/fungal pneumonia on top of cancer was more than she could handle) I sold the van with 50,000 miles-- mostly runs to Louisville (100 mile round trip) to see her docs.

    Cancer treatments are tough on everyone involved.

    Hang in there. Positive thoughts and prayers headed your way.
