Gun Room.
I have a pretty large gun/reloading room. I just hate having to take down all my reloaders, to work on a gun. Got thinking today and decided to build an Island for cleaning and repairing guns. Buying a kitchen base cabinet, 60x24x34 1/2 and a counter top. I want it to be stable, so I didn't want anything on wheels. I figure the cabinets would match the other cabinets I have down there. I can also take everything apart when we move. My bench now, is 8 feet long , but just over crowded to work on all the time. What have you guys got set up?? The room has two ammo closets, on each side of this safe, but I don't have it in the pictures. I have three more safes like this one, in the other room. Room is about 16x 12, so perfect for a little island.

I donβt reload and my little setup is very simple but it works for me

@Oakie I thought you were getting ready to move ?

I love your set-up, especially the section with the safe built-in. About three more years until I can stop with all the moving around, and then I hope to put together a proper room.

Same safe we have.
Yeah, that's not going anywhere. (bolted down too?)
Like seeing the Fire Extinguisher too

I put that in the post. I can remove everything when I move in a couple years. Until then, I want a place to clean my guns. I will build a room to except all these cabinets and tops when we move. I still have about 2 to 4 years left here. Just waiting on her to decide where and when.

Hopefully, when you move down South, it will be close enough we can visit.
I count you among my Friends. (As well as Chris Streett.)

Thanks, I built that a few years ago.. I have added a little more lighting in the room. I ran electric into the safe for a golden rod and some LED lighting on a motion sensor

Currently I have a homemade bench about 6 feet long. It has a shelf below it to hold all my cleaning equipment and supplies. Plenty of space. I put an old yoga mat on top of the bench to keep things from sliding around and to give a softer space to work on. When it gets dirty, I give it a 2 hour soak in some hot water & OxyClean, rinse, hang outside to dry, and done.

What is this "Cleaning," y'all keep talkin' about. π€
Once a year or so, I fire up the cordless drill with a bronze brush soaked in Kroil. Run it up and down the bore until it smokes. Easy Peesie. ππππ
Just kidding. (From a post/threads from a while back.) We had fun with it for awhile.

For cleaning my shop, I just dig out my old 120V leaf blower and open up a couple doors. π

I am assuming, (yeah, I know π) that the above U-tube link, is showing Bill Murray doing the same (with a leafblower) on "CaddyShack."
While taking hits of ganja and big slugs of wine.
That is immediately what I thought of, when you said that @Brookwood. ππ

My shop cleaning follows Brookwood 's method . Works good for me . Also used the blower on the cab of the farm truck every week or so
