I turned my mini split on in mine yesterday also.

    Set at 64.

I sure feels good to get into a warm vehicle from the get go.

I did an basement radiant heat for a customer. The builder then proceeded to drive a bunch of nails right through each loop with a Hilti gun. I even had it marked out. He said he thought the hose was deeper. So much for that system. The work like a dream when done right. I have installed them in garages and even driveways. I had a customer that lived on a hill, and wanted radiant heat to keep the ice from forming. That was the one and only that I ever did like that. Never heard back from the guy, so I guess it is working, ten years later.

I have a buddy that had a hydronically heated driveway that the contractor used Shark Bite fittings on. There were two of them under the slab and somehow one of them came undone when they were pouring the concrete. Sure looked purty on a cold winters day when you looked at it with a thermal camera! Evidently the contractor wanted to use up some short runs of PEX that he had. That didn't work out so good for him when he had to re-do the driveway!

25 years ago we put an addition on our place and used a "Shutter" (sp?) system for for the radiant heat thru out the whole 1st floor. BEST move I ever made. Just ask our cats and dogs!

Yes, we had to also turn the heat on in our house and shop. It was almost up to 80 last Thursday and Friday but was only 29 this morning and never got over 45 today.

Been burning a fire in the house stove most nights for the past month. Soon to get into around the clock burning. We will keep the fire going for 2-3 weeks at a time.

Burned an outside wood boiler for years. Saw, haul, split, stack, repeat, repeat.

Lady of the house wanted AC. So for her 52 anniversary she got a heat pump with gas back up. HVAC man put a vent right under my feet. Most excellent and I don't have feed the dragon.

For Christmas she got a big ole Kohler whole house generator. She is blessed.
