Have they removed History books from schools yet or re-wrote them?
Seems to me the Idiots that are responsible for this needs mentioned in a school History book daily, maybe under a heading of "Current History Idiots".

I am mad / disappointed they at least did not offer it to another museum or park even a private citizen. but then I am sure the crime rate will drop big time and protest will stop ..
sure they will nothing will change except a few loud mouth cry baby's got their way and cost tax payers money that could have done actual good

I noticed the article yesterday on the Daily Mail website........upsettingly sad.
I also noticed that one of the commenters opined that conservatives are NOT the only ones who have cherished statues/exhibits.😠

Most of these "KIDS" that want to destroy our history, Don't even Know anything about Lee. From being married to Martha Washington's granddaughter, to being offered the Command of United States Army. He was president of a College,Graduated from the US Military College and his Uncles and several relatives, signed the Declaration of Independence. Mr. Lee, played a major role for our Military, for both the north and the south. Hell, I bet half these idiots, don't even know whose house overlooks President Kennedy's grave. By the way, That was stolen by our beloved Government and President Lincoln, over Taxes.
I won't bore you guys with any more "FACTS", as most of you already know his prestigious history. This is a very sad day for the United States of America. Robert E. Lee, needs to be honored, not destroyed and have his memory erased from history, because it offended a few village idiots. Sorry for the rant. Oakie.

@Ditch-Runner, I have a metal sign that is a War torn Confederate flag.
In bold white letters, it says "Heritage, Not Hate." I get a lot of compliments on it.
