We have several nests around. We're on a lake and the best entertainment is in the spring. They hoover over the pot holes that open up as ducks are attracted to the open water. Good to see they have made a great come back.

We are sitting in the car in our driveway staring at the female Bald Eagle in the top of our eucalyptus trees... She has come back. Of course there is a Raven causing trouble already. Reminds me of Hammas. "You've been gone and this is my territory now"

Stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord.

    Love seeing/watching Eagles

My mom sat in the car for almost 2 hours watching her... They had no young this year and left the nest early due to the weather.

Very COOL Lady Rae! I see quite a few fly over eagles here at my place much of the year. Once in a great while one will land in a nearby tree.

You mentioned eucalyptus trees and have me curious. Is it the same tree that grows in Australia where it is the main food dish for Koala Bears?

I may have to do some educational googling!

The very same. They get invasive, but I love them very much. They grew well also in my native San Diego. There is a historical house circa 1866 not very far from us, Fern Cottage the home of Joseph I and Zipporah Russ in the garden is a eucalyptus over a 150 years old. But not as tall as ours.

    Fern Cottage (California) - Wikipedia
The 160 acre Fern Cottage Historic District includes ranch land and 18 buildings.
