I have a Ruger 77 in .44 magnum 18.5" barrel........Nice compact rifle..
There are a few listed on the auction side. They are a little pricey

Just looked at a beautiful example on the auction side.

Too bad "Worls Klass," is not still here. "Ruger used to call him/have him on their design team." ๐
You have to be Really talented to drill a hole smaller. ๐ค (That guy was a riot.) ๐๐๐คฃ

Now that Ruger owns Remington - maybe they will crank-up again the production of the Model 788 in 44 magnum. I have one and it is a very good short to modest range hog/deer machine.
Best Regards - AQH

A buddy of mine has one of those with an integrally suppressed barrel. Whisper quiet with the right loads.

Ruger bought Marlin not all of Remington.

have 2 inches cut off the barrel and how ever much you need off the stock and there you go

Just a suggestion. Ruger's Semi-Auto. 44mag Carbine's are a small handy little rifle, that are appreciating in value/price. Mine has doubled in value/price since I bought it.
I also have a Henry Steel Side Gate Carbine in Lever action, that I Love. Small handy little Carbine. Very well made.
Maybe handle/shoot both and still see if you desire a bolt action in .44mag.
*Just a suggestion/opinion. (Worth what you paid for it.)
