Mention calling the ATF and see what he does.

I've always thought less of people that wield the ATF name around. I don't need the ATF to handle this, I'm certain his days are numbered without any input from the ATF. I just want my money or inventory that is comperable in value....which is doubt he has.

Good Luck I hope you get all you are supposed to, plus an aggravation fee.

Stating the obvious that's a kick in the face

just a question Even if the court awards you the money is not up to you to collet

or maybe the court will say due to hard ship or some other bs he can pay 50.00 a month or some other amount to keep the court off his back

I know little about such things just what I have heard along the way

I do hope the best for you and the lawyer fees don't exceed what you mananage to get

Money and greed and desperation makes people do bad things

he may have started out with good intentions then got over his head and started drowning taking you with him

You nailed it Kasey, the guy is a "Moron."

*I started a seperate thread, (trying not to hijack yours Kasey.) "What would you have done?" about another "Moron" I had words with yesterday.

This whole ordeal will not affect me. I'm doing very well with my main focus, which are my auctions. I was just trying to get a side gig going to handle things and me not have to be involved. If he had been above board this could have turned into a real golden goose situation for him. If it had panned out I would have most likely put some of the good stuff in there as well that I own. Over the years I've purchased all kinds of items from stores and people.....he is so stupid to mess this up in such a brazen mannor.

Try convincing a Judge in civil court with what you wrote...the old saying "possession is 9/10 of the law" is still pretty much the law until you can prove otherwise, the proof is on you and I hope you have documentation to prove the agreement.

The proof will be recorded in the dealer books.

Moron is not an endangered species.

Moron is not an endangered species.

But unfortunately they are an invasive species.

He doesn't sound like a moron to me. He sounds just like a con man. I hope you recover all plus more!

Most good Con Men seem to be genuinely "Nice People." It is advantageous to them getting what they want.

This guy doesn't know who he is messing with. I've got record of everything. He has even sent me his own spreadsheets where he tried to show me what items he had sold and how much profit we were splitting up. I also have word of at least one gun he sold "off the books" ...just paid someone for a Glock, turned around and sold it to another guy in the store without logging it in or anything. I'm100% convinced he is in over his head.

Spoke with a lawyer today.....the ball is rolling on this getting messy.

If he's that deep into you then imagine the what the others he deals with are feeling, it'll take some time for the process to work through the system, hopefully just a letter from your lawyer will juice him up. If he doesn't have deep roots in your neighborhood don't be surprised if he moves onto another location making it harder on everybody involved with him. Good luck, keep us informed, some here may learn from your experience. Once a deadbeat.....always a deadbeat 😠.

What a mess. I'm sure you'll come out ahead, but sorry you have to deal with it. Been said before, what a hobby. Hugs to you.

I hope he has any money left so you can recoup what he owes you

My uneducated guess is that he is totally broke and doesn't not have any monies to settle with you. Just has the markings all over it. You kept him floating and then sinks it.
