You are setting them loose on the other side of a very busy four lane highway, right? This prevents return occupants.

Sadly yes I have fallen behind on animinal control with my 22 pistol as I have gotten older and do not put a lot of effort into it like I should and use to .

It's an expensive 'cycle': I have barn cats to keep the rodents under control. I have barn dogs to keep the bigger varmints (coons, possums, skunks) from eating the cat food. Once or twice a year, I have to remove cats from the herd because there's no other cat control product(other than the huge livestock guard dogs that swallow cats whole).

I'm eating ramen noodles and the cats are gorging on 75 cent a pound cat food. In addition, my yard, driveway, and any other open or grassy area is sown with 'cat mines' (those gooey little piles that are cleverly hidden after deposit).

    Oh BTW, I HATE CATS.

I have never been a cat person but over time my wife and cats have worn me down

We have a couple in the house one was just a young kitten when she was brought to us by my sons gf . The kitten was blind when we got her about 13 yrs ago long story for later Never know it to watch her

Two are closing in on 15 yrs old so we just keep them in away from the yotes and due to their age

the rest we have out buildings one we have a heater and beds for them in one if they chose

    As far as the trapping

Last night I caught one more kitten

and of course another possum and one more skunk

and several times they had tripped the trap I think climbing on it

I've warned all my nearby Cat owning neighbors, I am done with having Cats climbing on and parking on my Jeep all day, hunting the numerous rabbits in my yard. Muddy gravel footprints all over it almost daily. Numerous deep scratches all over the hood, from jumping on or jumping off. The final straw? When my soft top started being used as a scratching post. Done with it.

I had this conversation with a neighbor yesterday. We got into it yesterday about damage his Concrete delivery truck did to numerous parts of my yard, that I feel are his responsibility to fix/repair. He brought up my Cat text/warning. I told him I DO NOT want to shoot anyones pets, but I am done having my Property damaged. I was not blaming him specifically, (as I told him) but was giving all the nearby Cat owners a "Heads Up."

*Sorry for the Hijack, @Mobuck's post got me started. I didn't sleep all night thinking about this semi- argument with a Neighbor.

KenK: Be careful. You ever watch the series "Fear Thy Neighbor."

Disputes start off like the one you are now in, and wind up with gunfire and dead people.
