I've got 3 or 4, maybe even 5 Daisy 1894's in various conditions. Have 1 Daisy Powerline model that I shoot more than anything else including real firearms, I think that one would/could kill someone if need be.

Now that you have jogged my memory I also started out with a model 94 Daisy. Used to try to strike stick matches with it. Could knock the tips off now and then but never lit one. Gave it a hard try though.

Mine was confiscated for a month when my little sister was hit by a ricochet. Never even broke the skin. Little sisters are a pain.

I wore two of those out before I was twelve. Can still throw a can and shoot it before it hits the ground.

I guess this was actually my first gun. Got this when I was four. I forgot all about it. It still shoots like the day it was purchased. Screw in barrel. My Sears 22 was my first real rifle. Oakie.

I had a Daisy Golden Eagle with a somewhat functional plastic scope as well as the flipping peep sight. I later upgraded to a model 94. It looked so realistic that a ranch foreman once stopped to chew me out as i walked down the road near a Wr Ranch pasture. He was a little flabbergasted when I showed him it was a BB gun.

I have a couple like that of course bought later on in life and a few more when I ran across them at sales for a short time i was watching for BB guns and would buy them just reliving my child hood I guess

my 1st BB gun I begged for it seemed like months for my birthday at the time a discount place called O-mart had them I know it was less than 10.00 maybe eight dollars nothing special I think it was just a 1000 shot repeater or some similar name and was a Daisy

\my mom and dad did not want to get me one ( as we lived in town )

but the big day came I went out to the back ally as we called it just a dead end gravel alley that ran behind the houses on our block . of course all the other boys were along in the party.

I bet we di dnot shoot 20 times and up rolls a cop car ( busted at the ripe old age of 10 yrs or or so and start of many more interactions with them later in life ) )

the cop was nice about it just told me most people did not know you were not allowed to shoot a BB gun in town ,now take home .

of course my day of joy was burst like a balloon 😪 and to add to it mom and dad said we told you so 😕

we lived in town and seldom went anywhere I could shoot it except when visiting relative's in Tennessee. a few times a year

when my younger brother got a little older they bought him one ( it was painted all gold and called golden boy go figure ) and dad would take us just out side the city limits on a old road a few times

when I got my first job AT 16 I had my eye on a crosman 761 XL pump up bb / pellet gun ( a fancy version of a 760 ) but with wood stocks and gold plated reciever at another discount place by then called Mr wiggs My first pay check was was 32.00 and change I ask the counter guy how much with tax for the crosman he said 31.00 and change SOLD 😁 ( I never sid I was wise with money as a kid )

when I got older and moved out I left a lot of stuff like that at mom and dads my kid brother ( RIP ) was worse than I was about tinkering with things ( that still worked was the sad part ) and destroyed my bb gun and a pellet guns I had and all my red line hot wheels 😲 to name a few .

I was a Model 25 "man" even if it was a pain to load. My son shot the barrel assembly into the Susquehanna River around 1968. I was lucky enough to find another one.

All I remember about my first Daisy was it had a wood looking plastic stock. In the icy cold winters around here the stock cracked probably due to expansion. It shot good but even as a little kid, I was very upset about that cheap stock! From then on, I was hooked on real wood!

Bought each of my 4 sons Daisy Red Riders as gifts at Christmas time when they were around 8 or 9 years old.

My mother wanted a Red Ryder for Christmas a few years ago..... Best gift I ever got lol. I've knocked a lot of rats of the bird feeder... I became a pretty good shot, especially if you keep them really full of bb's and well oiled

Well, I had been thinking Oakie's but now, I guess I need to redirect that question.

Dad said no. When he figured I was old enough for a gun I got a .22 rifle. He said bb guns were good for losing eyes, killing song birds and breaking windows. He was wrong, no kids in the neighborhood lost an eye, and only two had to have bbs removed from their faces. The ones I coveted had plastic stocks and forarms.
