scopes
I bought a lot of 12 scopes this afternoon, at some antique store. All for 80 bucks. Some high end scopes and some not high end scopes. These two are decent scopes. One is a simmons and the other a Bushnell scope chief, older model. four are new in the box. Two Leupolds, two Redfield/widefields and some more simmons and one Trijicon. I only had fifteen bucks on me and he wants cash. I gave him the 15 and brought these two home. He packed the rest up for me and I'm stopping on the way home tomorrow to pick them up. Going to give most of them to my son and pick out two that I want for a couple of new rifles I bought this year. The simmons will go on the new 256 and the other one I'm putting on a Marlin 30-30 I bought this past summer for my son. Oak

Great score! I've still got a scopechief on one of my varmint rifles. It's a little heavy, but a great scope. IMHO one of the widefields would look better on the .256 instead of a cheap Chinese Simmons. Classic scope for a classic gun. Bob

Picking them up tomorrow. I had to get right home tonight, to go to the doctors. I will see what they are then. Hopefully they are something nice. My friend wants a couple of the simmons, so I am giving them to him, for his grandsons rifles.

@Oakie if they're the right flavor I'd sure be interested in one of the Leupolds. I'm looking for a 2-7 or 1.5-4 to put on my 10/22.

Never considered Simmons high end, barely decent. Think of keeping one of the Leupolds instead. For $15 you did great on those two.

I would say Christmas came early this year for you. Remember leupold’s are guaranteed for life.
