Great looking rifle. Glad you got the one you wanted. Did he include the tape measure?

Way to go oakie! That looks like a great find. Good things come to he who waits, even if it is 20 years.😊

@NeoBlackdog that is one rough looking Hawkeye. I remember in the mid 80's several distributors still had them in inventory and giving massive discounts to get rid of them. I thought about it and figured since they couldn't sell them way below wholesale, I'd never get my money back if I bought a couple so I passed. Looking at what they are bringing now, that was another of my not so bright decisions. πŸ˜– Bob

Good for you he made you work for it.

I had quit bidding and was so disappointed. Them my wife said to me, You been looking for that stupid gun for years, just bid one more time. Donna actually talked me into to it. I had already conceded and was going to buy a 1894cb 45 instead. After all was done and said, I felt a wave of relief. I thought that guys was going to win it for sure. I was at my limit for what I wanted to spend, when it ended.

Grab it while you can, might never pop up again.

Now the burning question, what does the lady of the house want in return?

Way I figure it? If your bills are paid, you've worked hard your entire life - what's the point if you do not occasionally buy yourself something you want?

    Money well spent Oakie. πŸ‘
