I want quality, not quantity. BTW, that rooster is crowing to welcome the day, not screaming.

Amen. I try to welcome and appreciate each day I am given.

Really Joe??? You are not old by any stretch of the imagination. Old is in a wheelchair or nursing home....LOL. I get it. I'm a few years younger and am getting to the point where I have to force myself out of bed at 430. Even on Saturdays and Sundays, I'm up before the sun and outside.. Last Saturday, I never left the bed. Got up to get coffee and then college football and naps all day. My wife thought I was dying!!! LOL. Nope, just getting older I told her. By the way, Tell Denise we said hi. Are you two doing any hunting anymore??? Oakie

To be honest, roosters taste just as good as hens, and it eliminates having to get up at 5 AM.

The roosters crow early before the hens get up. Once the hens get up, the roosters will never get a word in for the rest of the day.

There's a reason we have ten hens and no rooster!

The older I get, the older I get. No wisdom, no screams in the morning, but once in a while I avoid a blunder the third time it comes around.

The older I get the more I want to stop getting older.

You young guys bring a smile to my face. I've been waiting for that "Golden years" thing to kick in for decades. πŸ˜•

You might need new glasses to see the golden Jeff. Maybe bifocals.

Last time my neighbor Had a Rooster, I had evil thoughts and intentions. I was planning a Commando type Raid to take care of the situation. (Pellet gun.) Suddenly the Rooster disappeared. Maybe he got feedback from other neighbors, or someone beat me to the Raid. πŸ€”

It's one thing to have one in the Country/on the Farm. It's another (totally obnoxious) thing entirely, to subject everyone that lives near you to that BS. 😠😑

Same neighbor had Guinea's, let them roam everywhere onto people property. (Without asking, seeing if it was okay.) Buddy came within a hairs breath of catching a couple of them more than once. I just laughed. πŸ˜‚ When I next saw that neighbor, I told him that. (And that it was just a matter of time.) Have not seen the Guinea's since then either.

With robins sounding off starting about 2:00 AM, the roosters in the neighborhood don't much trouble me.

Ain't it great!! Doves in the morning geese flying over at night? Love the whistling swans. Sounds people in the big city never hear. Green Acres is the place to be!!!
