Anybody remember what scope base this one uses?

  #79 for the rear #35 for the front or any LA Remington 700 base is what I read.

  You are correct, Grasshopper. I found a set of Leupold 2-piece bases, #50017, for the Rem. 700 and the note on the package includes "Ruger M77 (Round Receiver)" as part of the application.
