Posted about it a couple times in recent threads. Here it is. Dual Pillar bedded action, 22" Cold Hammer Forged Bull barrel, Free floated. Pro X adj. trigger, (set @ 2 lbs.) Jeweled bolt, Boyds rubber overmolded stock, Sig-Sauer Whiskey 3 (3-9×50) optic w/Hellfire reticle, on Leupold Rings and bases, 4 round internal mag. *Usually used in conjunction w/my BOGS Deathgrip Shooting Tripod. (But has bipod.) Probably a few other things I am forgeting about it. My B-day gift to myself July before last. 👍😁
*My Essential Arms J-15 in the background. Sig CP-1 Red/Green optic w/a Caliber Specific BDC Reticle and some other goodies.

I very much like the stock, @Kevin_L. No glare, very subdued, very griptile, really like the forend profile. No dings/scratches. Very nice recoil pad. (A Boyd's Overmolded Rubber stock.)

How hard is it to shoot and how good of groups can you get from that rifle with the Reddot that high , (being on top of the carry handel ) ???

I find it very accurate @redhawkk480. That J-15 will pattern a 20 round mag fairly quickly (roughly 30 sec. +/-) In about a 3" spread/group @80yards w/that optic. I'd post a pic of a target, (I've got one on my safe.) but more often than not, I can not post photo's due to "Terrain Issues." (Verizon 4G dedicated Samsung Galaxy Tab E.)
I got used to, and like very much the A2 handguard sights available on the M16 platform/pattern rifles. (Also) See my somewhat recent thread on my new "Ruger SR-22 and Sight In," thread. Similar A2 Handguard sights and a Firefield red dot. Very accurate. Maybe I'm just used to the A2 Handguard sight system. I don't know. I do know, that I like them very much.

I've got one AR with just the carry handle , so when I saw your pictures it got me wondering ,
I might just get one of those little rail and give it a try , I have several reddots just waiting to go on something , might just as well give it a try , all I would be out is the cost of that rail

I also have a 20 round group @50 yards "for accuracy" off a bench, w/that same J-15 and optic @redhawkk480. Measured it this morning, 2" very tight group. Have it mounted to my safe. Will try and get a photo of it, but probably not be able to post it until the AM, when my "Service," miraculously improves.
It is not a "red dot," per say. It has a very fine etched "Crosshair," BDC Reticle, that I can illuminate either red or green. Will function without power, due to the etched reticle. Recommended to me by a Ranger Brother. (Weapons Specialist.) Sig CP-1 (No magnification.)
