Biden "Forgives," $9 Billion in Student Loans?
I thought that ship had sailed per SCOTUS. That SCOTUS had ruled "He did not have the Authority," to do so.
Read/heard yesterday that Biden was "Forgiving $9 Billion in Student Loans.?

Biden acts more along the lines of a mafia boss. Forgive the loans, except the votes it bring him and blame the MAGA republicans and Trump for creating these student loan debts. Sad part is a lot of people will believe it.

Yep, it is against the law and you heard right.
However, Biden has stacked the DOJ with partisan hacks and they have created a protection racket in corroboration with national media. Basically he does whatever he pleases and gets away with it.

Just to restate:
There is no plan to eliminate student debt, it is a plan to transfer that debt to those that do not owe it!

Don't take it.
Why should Taxpayer's pay for your Education? I spent 5 years in the Army, paying for my Education. Who's gonna pay me back, for that?
Nobody. (Nor am I asking anyone to.)

Two of my kids were fully funded by either scholarships or their own income(s). The third is blind and had full funding by several organizations that support handicapped students. NO LOANS.
Folks should think about how they'll fund education before plopping out their progeny.

About all I see happening with Sleepy Joe's debt forgiveness plan is delaying the payments that should have been made for well over a year or two. The students may have gotten away not making payments without recourse by the lending institutions, except I'm pretty sure hefty interest rates are continuously being applied!

'Student loans' may be a necessary evil for some but the debt is owed and shouldn't be just swept under the rug. The 'students' knew that they were incurring a debt that would have to be repaid at some point. What's not understood? If these students aren't/weren't cognizant of their actions, there are other issues that need attention. Did someone else 'co-sign' these loans?

I paid off my two kids college loans with their help years ago. I paid school tax before school, during school and am still paying the tax to the Communist State of New York. My school tax this year was $4,200. One of my neighbors real taxes (includes school tax) was $11,000-------------------Ray

@4205raymond/Ray, I had a little 800 sq ft. 1947 Chestnut log cabin, on about 1/10th acre on Greenwood Lake NY/NJ. West Milford, NJ. My property tax was apprx $6K/yr. ($500/mo of my $1200 mortgage.) I pay around $450 a Year on a much larger/nicer house on apprx 3 acres, here in the Free State of Tennessee.
When my Realtor sent me the paperwork on the house I was looking at down here, it only said "Taxes," $423. I asked/assumed that was per month. He just started laughing.
Bought my house outright, when I moved down. Mortgage free, right off the bat. 👍😁

Just received our yearly tax bill, here in North Texas.
Due to some actually GOOD Texas legislation our $4200 yearly bill.......DROPPED about $1200!!😳

My wife just received a letter in the mail from Social Security yesterday. Said that they over paid her a fair amount of money and will be taking it back all at once starting in February next year!!
Something she knew nothing about as it was a so called mistake made by SS workers. Just when you think you have your budget covered......up comes something like this!! When it comes to the government of our good ole USA, this veteran has lost all respect!!
