Heart attack on 09-14-2023
I'm alive and doing much better. Was a mild one, but did put me in hospital for 5 days. My blood pressure was 197/107. My body had begun to reject the meds I was on and things weren't workingh. I feel good, other than being tired. Now, the new meds are going the other way, got my blood pressure down to low. So check it 3 times a day, call the nurse and then the cardiologist says cut this one in half and take 2 of this one. Just finding the balence point.
One has lots of time for 5 days laying in a hospital bed to ponder just how much sand is left in the hour glass. Starting to clean house and sort just what is important to me and clean things up with the lawyer to make sure I don't leave Lesia a mess. Seen it too many times. God must still have something He wants / needs me to do
Anyway, I'm still fixin' guns, doing a little over on the auction and planning to go and get that monster buk back in the woods, ok, he's only an 8-pointer, but still good sized. I'm a meat hunter first, never found a good recipe for horns. A full freezer is what I go for.
Made my 67th trip around 09-22.
Miss you guys. Will be keeping better track of all you, so behave.

I feel for you, man. Glad you're doing better. It's a weird feeling looking through your feet out the back of an ambulance and seeing cars pulled over on both sides of the road.

Glad your doing better. I will keep you in my prayers. Do us all one favor??? If you kill that buck, let a buddy or relative drag it out. No exertion for a while. You not suppose to lift anything over 20 pounds for a few months, so don't bs us. I know exactly what my cardiologist said about lifting and exertion, after each of my heart attacks. Don't make us come and kick you butt. Your wife, family and us guys and gals, need you around a little longer. Oakie.

I had by pass surgery in 2016 and at back at full steam for a 71 year old.My wife that never eats anything bad for her and exercises regularly had a mild heart attack about a month ago and they found a defective artery and she had by pass surgery so I am taking care of her and the household for a while.Do what the docs tell you,take your meds and let the doc know if anything hurts or does not feel right. Take care of yourself because your family wants you around as long as they can have you.

My youngest brother and my best friend both had heart attacks 2 days apart. Must be a lot of that going around.
I was headed for a heart attack years ago, but my Dr. figured out that I needed to get to the hospital right away. I had 5 bypasses of arteries that were between 85 and 95 % blocked.
Except for the occasional chest pains, I'm doing pretty good for an old fart.
