Hard to think of a better $30 survival tool
I dunno. I had low hopes for the thing. And then it pretty much worked. And I mean it's $30. It's not meant for hard every day use. Maybe a one time Stuff hit the fan and I'm stuck type-uh dealio. And... it's probably perfect for that. I dunno.

Hey, not bad at all. I like it.

Looks like dad's WW2 entrenching tool and a Swiss army knife had an offspring. Looks kinda cool and practical. Bob

I still have my entrenching tool that was issued in my 782 gear in 1970.

I still have my Dad's wood handled GI E-Tool. I have folding GI E-Tools in each vehicle.
Good tool for tending a bonfire & can be used as a frying pan in a pinch.
2 of my friends have been playing around with their Spetsnaz Shovels - dubbed "Murder Spoons." One is able to throw it and get it to stick into trees.
Lots folks like carrying shovels of all sizes in their 4wd vehicles. Off Roading almost every weekend since 2019, I've yet to wish I had a shovel instead of a winch. I also don't carry a Hi Lift Jack. Opting instead for a bottle jack with jack extensions. I have seen a Hi Lift Jack used 3 times in 4 years of off roading.

Interesting, but seems more of a novelty rather than practical. A good test for tools like this would be, to see how easily it is to assemble in the dark. Entrenching tools that we had in the army were pretty straight forward and easy to open, and sturdy. But $30 bucks what the hay, it isn’t going to break the bank.

I find if you read the trail correctly you know the chance of getting stuck proceed accordingly Dont' leave home without the winch and a great anchor strap..

I figured a solar blanket would be in there too.

I don't think this survival tool is really even relevant to offroading though. Maybe I'm missing something?

I ordered one today, for my son. He does a ton of backwoods camping. Oakie

I would counter, I don't think a survival tool has much use in the city or suburbia. At least with off roading you are out in the wilderness where a survival tool might be of use. I didn't watch your video though.

I keep a e-tool in the back of the side by side, seen the time need to dig rock out or high center......

If you ever have to depend on a flimsy gimmick like that for survival, you better hope the rescuers find you really quick.

I like those type of tools. I WOULD NOT GO ON THE TWO-TRACKS IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN WITHOUT AT LEAST A SHOVEL. The attachments could be very helpful in certain circumstance.
