A while back I posted about my new ATV (and took some good natured abuse over it.) a small125cc model. I had posted initially that it would not pull me up some 45° incline trails, was kinda bummed, but knew it would have some limitations. Oh well.

After speaking w/the shop I bought it at, they said "It should." We talked and they realized they had not adj. the "De-tune," they give the ride models out front, so people/test riders will not get hurt. After my initial test drive, I had my Jeep w/trailer right out front and I said "I'll take it," & we loaded it right up and I left.

Well after that conv. a while back, I made the carb and throttle adj. they suggested/usually make prior to a Cust. leaving with it. Wasn't expecting a big/huge difference, just a modest improvement. I've only been running it around the neighborhood, visiting friends, since then. (It was noticeably quicker and will outrun most of my buddies larger quads.)

Well, I just now came back from a 10-15 mi. backcountryTrail ride, on the trails it would not pull before. It now has no problem with anything I pointed it on. Some trails steep enough had to stand up/lean forward to keep the front end down. Came back down all smiles. 😁

Much more throttle to give it now, w/more low end grunt. Very pleased.

$1800 OTD. (Worth it to me.) A fun toy. 👍

  They are fun!! I'm about addicted to riding. I've got a RZR 570 trail model side by side. I had to give up the quads because the wife wants to ride with me! We ride in Arkansas, Colorado, Utah, West Virginia, Missouri, etc.

  Salespeople are supposed to take it out of 'limp mode' when sold, but sometimes forget. They have lost a sale or two because of it.

  Wanted a UTV so I could take Buddy w/me, but was not wanting to spend $10,000 on one. Could have but wanted to prioritize my $$ to the house and safety net/retirement. That was much more important to me.

  I do feel really guilty when I fire up the ATV and Buddy starts the "Take me. Take me." Whine and bark. Breaks my heart. 💔

  It is fun and convenient to run around the Holler and see buddies. 👍

  Glad I saw the guys @ the shop I had bought it at and they figured put it was in "Limp mode."
