Anyone heard of this vehicle? Had a guy at the health club show me his new mode of transportation! WOW. Believe he said they were made in Normal, Ill.

I've seen a few around. I don't want an electric truck. Seems like a terrible idea.

I saw a used one for sale for $135,000. How much are they new?

They have had trouble getting those right, and have recalled tens of thousands of those things.

Yep. Error prone to say the least.

They are pretty slick trucks if you don’t need a truck.

Saw one this weekend. Looked slick and it was moving. Yes, they are built in Illinois for whatever reason other than free land and tax credits.

I see a few of them traveling through... There's a charging station in the grocery store parking lot. They are slick...

Price cuts by Tesla to boost demand and responses from competitors have pushed average EV retail prices down to $53,376 in July 2023, from a high of nearly $70,000 a year ago, according to Cox Automotive.
That is competitive with other actually useful trucks. I keep asking myself, do I really want to stop every two to three hours to charge up (how many pee stops is that?) traveling 650 miles to the Tulsa gun show? yeah, no.

I've seen estimates of $15k to $20k to replace most lithium battery packs. That sure would buy a lot of gallons of gasoline.
Also........I wonder how many barrels of oil (btu equivalent) it takes to actually manufacture a typical vehicle battery pack.
One thing's for sure.........someone(s) is making a lot of cash.
