Shot the first doe that came by, freezer meat. Was the first day above single digit nights, and at my age I cant take the cold anymore. Im ready to put the guns away for the season.

Yes sir, nothing wrong with that. We always hunt meat first.

Say there was a spray way back when you spritz on the black powder for easy clean up. What was that name?

    Congrats on your success!

Breech plugs are handy, but I have never minded cleaning my old Hawken style rifles. I always just put the barrel in the bathtub with some hot water and dish soap, use a bore squeegee to suck the water up and down the barrel, couple brush scrubs, rinse and done.

Been down with the crud these last few days of firearm season.

Here in MI, zone 3, my 350 Legend identifies as a ML so I guess I will continue to hunt the 10-day ML season with it.

I used to wonder what the MDNR are doing. Now I just hunt within whatever goofy rules they come up with.

ML season....pffft. just sell tags and let folks kill everything however they choose, would be less confusing and a thinner regulations booklet.

I clean my ML in soapy water also. I still use BP in mine so its dirty when I shoot it.

Shot 4 with a Zouave 50 cal. way back. Made our own lead rounds and I still have the flask somewhere!
