Winchester small rifle primers
In the interest of being consistent, in my reloading I have always used Winchester small rifle primers (WSR)
I load 17 Fireball, 17 MK IV, AND 204 RUGER.
I load 2-3 thousand rounds a year for these three cartridges.
I am coming to the end of my WSR stockpile, and not finding the availability that i would like.
The availability seems to be good for Winchester WMSRL #41 primers. These are NATO spec for 223/556.
What differences (if any) would you expect to see if switching? i am good for one more year but i really dont want to start over and work up new loads for these three loads?
Thoughts......

NATO spec are harder and are made specifically (recommended) for the military round but can be used in the civvie .223. EZ, log live the 45-90.

IIRC the difference is a slightly harder cup in the military versions (41's). The loads should work up the same.

I don't know about Winchester #41 but CCI #41 reportedly is a 'magnum brisance" primer.
I found the #41 primers required a 0.5 grain drop in powder charge to obtain similar velocities in .223 ammo.

I just bought some at a show, as I was almost out too. I won't say what I payed, but it was ridiculous.
