Browning BL-22 hammer extension
Put a scope on my BL-22 and have hard time cocking or releasing hammer not much space between hammer and scope. Thought I would get a hammer extension to solve this but Browning owners manual and email to Browning say's never use a hammer extension on a BL-22 but no explanation as to why not. Anyone here know why not? Any info is always appreciated. Terrill

I found one comment on the internet that stated installing a hammer extension resulted in ligght hammer strikes. I read into this that the Browning hammer strike is on the light side and adding weight to the hammer MAY result in misfires. It could be worth a try. Good luck.

I have four BL-22s . It's a lever action rifle. I have spurs on two of them. No problems

Thanks Oakie I think I will put on a hammer extension and give it a try. The way it is now it is hard to cock or let the hammer down no room between scope and hammer. Terrill
