My wife could get lost driving down the street. I alway tell her that on a interstate or major highway, Odd numbers are North and south and even numbers are east and west. We left Sanibel on morning, heading home. I was sleeping, to only wake up in the everglades!!! Yup, she got on 75 south and started driving. Frustrated, I now tell her, North to NY, south to Florida. She gets that...............Sometimes. LOL

Not as good as when an Old Timer gives you directions that include something like, "You keep going to where Old Man Miller's barn used to be, then turn." 🤔😐😮🙄

Oakie, use to take I95 to my house in Kent's Store, Virginia and now take i81. Was exhausted and let my wife Diane drive. She woke me up about two hours later. "Raymond, please wake up, I think I took the wrong turn". There stood the Washington Monument so close, I could almost touch it. She missed the 495 Beltway and I thought i was dreaming.------------------Ray

Ray, that reminds me of the time I let my Son, "Navigate," for us. (N NJ Headed to TN.) I realized I had a "problem" when we were approaching Baltimore. 🤔😮😣
Yes, I knew we were taking a totally different route at the time. I didn't think a whole lot about it. He had the map. 😬😯

A buddy of mine once gave me an "Idiot's Compass", it was a small spot mirror that was glued inside of a plastic chew can. It came with a set of directions that read, "it doesn't tell you where you're going, or where you've been, but it does show you who's lost". One of the best gag gifts I've ever gotten.

Prior to filling out a MVA report, a patrol "woman" complained that she never knew which way was no., so., etc. So I simply pointed to the sign 50' away, "53 North." Yup, if looks could kill.
