RMEF Browning bl-22

I just bought a Browning Bl-22 RMEF banquet gun it has on the side of receiver 2012 RMEF banquet and was wondering if this is when the rifle was made as the serial number is nothing like regular bl-22 number and is there a way to date this gun by serial # it is 027RMEFBGB. Any info is always appreciated. Terrill

  Browning is pretty helpful with dating their guns, I'd call them.

  Thanks toad67 just received word from Browning that my Browning bl-22 2012 RMEF banquet gun was indeed made in 2012.
