I guess I balanced it out by having a large "Family Size," Fresh Express Greek Feta Cheese, w/croutons, Salad. (W/a fresh Avocado sliced/diced and thrown in.) Lot's of Parmesan/Romano cheese.

    Yes. Buddy loves it. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‘๐Ÿ™„

    Otherwise, it was just nasty.

That is just SAD!! Dietz and Watson is usually pretty high end stuff and quite expensive around here.

I was very disappointed in the last batch of Jimmie Deans pork sausage I bought to make last years Turkey stuffing with. It had enough salt in it to preserve a dead yak!! Totally ruined my stuffing, which is my favorite Thanksgiving dish! Will never buy it again!

Just checked my stash. Luckily the 2 for $5 deal/stock up were Bridgeford brand, not the D&W. (Thankfully.) I only had that one small tube. (Thank God.) The D&W brand felt soft in the tube, that should have been a warning. The Bridgeford brand seem firm/normal. I am hopeful.

Dietz and Watson "Summer Sausage." I bought a bunch, when they were 2 for $5. I had some yesterday. (Their stuff is usually pretty good.)

Just nasty. More a congealed tube of fat with very little lean "meat," inluded. Not recommended. At all.

I love "Summer Sausage." This is (by far) the worst I have had.

    Just saying.

I get my sausage from Schmidt's Meat Market in Nicollet, MN. Beer sausage, summer sausage, landjaegers, bratwurst, etc. I will be heading out in the spring and will come home with a few coolers full. Thankfully they also ship during the winter months. Never found better sausage out west.

Nobody can knock a good KNOCKWURST!! ๐Ÿ˜›

What is Knockwurst? Is it Different from Bratwurst? (webstaurantstore.com)

Best I ever found was from a small Germanic\Dutch butcher shop in Frankenmuth Michigan. First time there many years ago, I bought several Knockwurst fully cooked links for a meal I had planned for the upcoming weekend with visiting family. On the long drive home from Frankenmuth, I was sampling the sausage one link at a time and by the time I made it home, the Knockwurst were all GONE!!

I guess it gives D&W an outlet to dispose of their scrap meat. (And fat.) ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜–

    Gaack.....................Gaack..............................
