If no "Pics," then No, it does not count, Rae.

I'd like to own/have a Bond Arms, but they seem to be EXTREMELY Proud of them. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‘๐Ÿ˜ฃ

cobra cb38, 38 special got it for the wife but it has a terrible, TERRIBLE trigger, she couldn't pull the trigger so didn't make much sense for her to keep it, I now carry it in my back pocket all the time, fits the hand nice and if needed would make a nice substitute for a brass nuckle, if the two shots didn't get em........

No worries. I don't carry it or use it.

About as close to a derringer I can get

One is 22R and the other 22Mag

I had a NAA also savage 170. Small and well made. In my downsizing, Kasey sold it along with many other firearms. Currently I have a Colt #1 25 cal pistol from the very early 1900's. I also have a brass framed Sharps .22 pepperbox that I need to make new grips.

I fired a new "Remington" style derringer in 357 mag many years ago and have avoided them ever since. When I fired it, it came unhinged with the 2nd round ejecting and barrels pointed in my face. They are dangerous junk. The one I fired was a high dollar brand, not cheap.

The design was made for black powder low pressure rimfire carts: said enough.

Friend of mine had a similar incident in our college dorm. He tried to close it with the hammer down and had an AD. It nearly cut off his finger and put a big gouge in the plaster wall.

C'mon, I know there are some Member's here, that actually own Derringers. (Sorry, Colt Mustang, etc. not even relatively close.) NAA's I'll give you that one.

    Let's see em'. (Please.)

No Bond Arms, etc. here? ๐Ÿค”

Ken, if you do some online study about Henry Deringer, you will learn about some pretty cool stuff about not just his little Lincoln murder tool, but some pretty fancy muzzle loading rifles as well!

I viewed your post of your two previously owned BP Derringers to be one (of very few) relevant to the OP/Thread. I gave it a "Like." My comments were not directed to you, Sir.

    Those are True "Derringers."

Derringers really didnโ€™t need to be large or of large caliber when they arrived on the scene. The threat of being shot with a lead ball or bullet 150 years ago brought about the real possibility of dying of blood poisoning even if the shot didnโ€™t kill you out right when shot.

Smaller automatics or revolvers have just replaced the derringer, and traded the fear of being shot and maybe not dying from the bullet but from infection with more efficient stopping power and more reliable ammunition.

So if I had to choose a derringer 150 years ago Iโ€™m pretty sure my chose would have been a Colt Mustang Plus 2. Lol

I have a High Standard 22 WMG that I bought from a friend for $15 in 1992............lol.....one of my best buys.

This fine piece of work. A Cobray Model D Caliber 45. It shoots 410 shells, and is supposed to shoot 45 Colt. I have not had the courage try a 45 Colt round in it.
