Your Favorite Inexpensive Handgun?
My #1, would be my Kel-Tec PMR30.
#2 Would be my Taurus 740 Slim. (7 shot, .40 cal single stack.)
#3 Would be my Taurus 6" .357mag revolver. (Very nice.)

Inexpensive guns that are dependable and work: Heritage and Hi Point.
Avoid Taurus. They are mid priced and have QC issues.

Realized long ago that I should not settle for a lesser gun......than what I "really" wanted. Just wait/save a bit longer.
Yep......I'm a Sako, Colt, S&W.......etc......snob........and plum content about it.🙂😇

Auto Ordnance GI-spec 1911. I got mine for like $630, and a week later they were down to $520-$530ish, where they seem to have been ever since. And before somebody says "that's not cheap", the only other handguns besides a good old-fashioned 1911 that really interest me are the authentic Single Action Army models at $2200+. Maybe a Heritage Rough Rider or similar, but I don't think that'd be as good a carry gun as the 1911.

Well I'm pleased with my $99.00 Rough Rider.

Colt Army Special purchased by my grand father, Spanish American war veteran, in the year my Dad was born, 1911. Gittin' pretty close to me passin' it on........

I would also add my Bersa Thunder .380, my Glock 22 (.40 cal) Police Trade in, w/Trijicon night sights and my 7.5" Heritage Rough Rider.
My "Handguns," like my Long Arms, run the gamut. I have handguns that go up into the $1500/used range. I am not a Firearms "snob." If I like it, I buy it.
*Same with my Shotguns.

Many years ago I bought a 10/22 new for $80.
Member here Trap55 put a trigger and did a little other work to it for me.
Not a handgun, but 80 bucks well spent!

In 1993, I bought a Nickel Colt Detective Special circa 1971 for 50 bucks....... Right place/right time deal, bundled in with another firearm. The guy brought it out and asked me to add 50 bucks to what we had come up with for the first gun.....I told him I would give him more and he said no this is what I need.....

Taurus millenial pro 40. ZERO issues and is my carry choice!
I want the Keltec PMR30, but I dont consider it "inexpensive". I will get one if they ever come back down to at least MSRP.

1965 production Ruger standard. It isn't much to look at but I think I paid $50 about 40 years ago.
