I have seen where apartments have been converted into 4 to eight spaces barely big enough to stand sleep and have just enough room to turn-around and have a common bath room for the whole floor to use and still get some crazy rent because of the big city population and cost of living

It's amazing what people will pay to live in areas that control everything. I was visiting with my aunt and uncle yesterday and we were speculating about who bought the farm next door. 300 acres, a 1500 sqft house, a few ponds and outbuildings. $2.5 million was the list price.
House and hobby farm across the road from me is 8 acres, a goat pen, with a 1900 sqft 3/2 house. They are asking $230k. At that price I'm a millionaire. 😆

Apparently, rent is cheap (Free?) In the US, for Mexicans. (Well, "Free," for them. Not for us Taxpayers.) Somebody's got to pay for it. Guess who picks up that tab? 🤔

Hear people on TV beetch, bellyache, and whine all the time about rent being to high and go blaming greedy landlords. Of course dirty media pundits are eager to join the blame the landlord chorus.
But having said that, in places like NY, CA, OR, NJ and anywhere else where DEMOCRATs control, They NEVER mention property taxes being well over $1K a month and with "Soft on property crime" DEMOCRATs in control the exorbitant insurance rates. I will leave out other fees and compliance regs imposed by government.

I sold every one of my Kalif properties BECAUSE the government told renters they did not have to pay rent.
