Marlin Model 60 Problem
When the tube is fully loaded, the first 2 rounds jam. After the first 2,or if loaded 2 short, runs like it should.Anybody know the fix?

What kind of jam? Fail to eject?

Has the gun been spotlessly cleaned, including the magazine spring/plunger assembly? How long has this been going on?

Too much spring tension.

I would load two short and be happy

Agree with HPD on the cleaning comment. It sounds like there's some junk in the mag tube causing the spring/follower to bind when you fully load it.
Tear down the tube and clean it. Should be fairly simple to pull the pin from the knurled end of the tube and remove the innards, being careful as there's tension on the cap. There are several good YouTube videos on the procedure.

Make sure to drape a towel over the muzzle end when you pull that pin. That "SPANG...clatter clatter" noise is horrible.

weak spring?

That "pin" on the tube can be problematic at least for me. I would think you could get it clean without taking it apart, YMMV.
I wish I could get my two to run a full tube, neither does.

I also would start with a good cleaning of the tube. Very light coat of oil inside the tube and wipe down spring.
Good luck, please post a follow up.
