That sounds like a neat outfit. The #21 sight alone is valued at $350-$550 per Stroebel's book. I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to see pictures. Odd that if it was company guard gun that it is not .30 WCF. Cartridges must be hard to find.

Oddly that was my first thought also, Canadian Pacific but I doubt if they would change the sight. Wonder if it would letter?

Hopefully, the photos went through. I see that the markings are opposite of what I posted but it shouldn't matter. 28 over CP. Cartridges are hard to find but I have plenty of brass to load. Excellent shooter as well.

    Hello,

Most of the "protection" guns that were used by RR, police, or prisons were carbine configuration and would most likely be in 30 WCF caliber. What is the serial number of the rifle? I know someone who has looked at more than 10,000 Model 1894 rifles and he may have an idea.

254053 is the serial number. Hope that he has some ideas about it.
