Somebody that knows more about selling should be along shortly. @Locust Fork is a great resource.

Welcome to the forums! What other guns are you sellin'?

Since it's unlikely someone will be bidding on them as Christmas presents, you're likely looking at a buyer who got money for Christmas and wants to buy a gun with it. I think you should let your auctions run with that time frame in mind.

As to the 1911 with conversion kit, I think I would bundle it only if it was originally sold as a set or had linking identification. You can always mention the other auction in each one and offer a bundle deal (perhaps on shipping), if you want to get creative like that.

If you want to, you can post up links here in the forum to your auctions, to get a little more attention to them. I hope you do well on them.

14 days is too long, in most cases.

I like 7 day auctions, but will use 8,9,10, or 11 days when needed. I like all my auctions to end on Sunday evening.

    Your mileage may vary.

personally I like 10 day auctions starting on Thursday, you 'hit' 2 weekends and ends on a Sunday. as to the .22 conversion, list it separately but link both auctions.

Several good suggestions there. You want all the exposure you can get. Take the best pictures you can to show the condition of the items.

Kasey (Locust Fork) has sold several handguns for me over the years. She will work with you regarding auction length, when to start and timing of auctions. You can see the quality and quantity of photos in her listings.

Give her a call or message her thru the forums.

    Thanks everyone!

We have tried everything imaginable and the TEN DAY listing seems to be a good length to run everything....starting on Thursday, ending on a Sunday. Sunday is the day the most users are on the website, so ending that day is "key."

Keep the listing simple....don't fill it with all the terms and conditions or lengthy history lessons. If you get good pictures that cover the item in full, answer the emails people send you should have no worries!
