Grave digging today
One of our cats passed away
my wifes old time pal and favorite cat gwendowlin just over 15 yrs old .passed on yesterday morning .
She has been going down hill last couple weeks just old age caching up to her she spent her life out side up to a few months ago and my wife brought her it knowing she was a short timer .
My Wife took it hard its been dusty in the house toady .
The cat was a huge big baby sweetheart no matter where in the yard she was we could call her name she would answer back with a single meow and nod her head to respond that she heard us .
As my wife was holding her for the last time and talking to her to say good by she called the cat by name
the cat raised her head best she could and gave the familiar meow for the last time .that brought my wife to tears .
Added another to our pet cemetery
She is the one in the top of the photo taken a couple weeks back

I was never a cat person but my wife loves all animinals. And Always had cats
Over time (and getting a lot older has a part in it )I gave in some what and got attached to them . Of course Some make sure I pay attention .
What's truly going to get to us and the water works going and real soon I am afraid
we have a weiner dog " butch" he is also jut over 15 yrs old and his health is going fast
We got him as a birthday present for my wife
I plan on digging a hole while the ground is still manageable in the next few days in our pet cemetery
if I don't use it great but reality tells different
I Will do it when my wife is not around so not to draw more attention on butch

It's always tough when you lose a fur baby, that's why I don't have any anymore.

Animals can become almost like family. I have two cats and a dog, and they are near and dear. Sorry for your loss.

I’m sorry for your loss. It can be like someone tearing your heart out. How animals hold love for us humans is a mystery, but I’m sure she was thankful that you were there to comfort her at the end.

Sad to hear DR, life goes on with or without the ones we love, it is always tough to lose members of our family. RIP Gwendowlin.

I am sure that's true unless they get close to us
my wife has befriended many strays / feral cats over the years it took weeks to get some of them to trust Her they have a great life and hadothers had a great life the ones we lost in the past
Even now we have a feral mom cat not very old wife making buddies with it
And it already added to the cats by cranking out 4 kittens we have the kittens and they are due to be fixed soon
The mom cat we need to catch she will not go near a life trap but will come up to us for food but keeps back just out of range
I think it's going to take a net and both my wife and I
I do not want to shoot her over doing what nature drives her to
We Plan to do it in the next few days or couple weeks so we can get her fixed also.
