    They make an adapter to use 20v. on 18v. equipment... I have 20v batts and use them in 18v. stuff...

    As JIM said, just get the adapter. I can't afford to buy all new tools so I went w/ 20V. One other reason is my old sore hands had a heck of a tine operating the release on the 18V system. The 20V is entirely different.
