What’s sad is MT does recognize our WA permit. We do allow open carry BUT you can’t open carry in a vehicle if you don’t have a carry permit. I don’t know if you being a non resident could open carry outside of a hunting or hiking type situation. Also keep in mind we do have a 10 round mag restriction.

At least for residents we’ve been a shall issue state with no classes required. Not sure about non resident permits. I have not checked but you might want to see if the Utah non resident permit would work because it’s good in a lot of States.

When my wife got hers there was a 5 month wait and you didn't really get to pick your time, so you might want to look into how they are doing it now.

We're in no rush. Thought we'd check it out when we are there this spring. If they can take the application then, great, if not oh well.
We are also keeping our eye open for the next Utah non res class done local here. They do classes quite regular. Washington will recognize the Utah permit.
