Why are all the fun hobbies so expensive??

A local law enforcement agency has two of those. I always wanted to shoot one like that !
Some of their other auctions are interesting too.

I sold mine too soon back in 2015. I shouldn't complain since I bought it in 1996 for $1250. and a Mac 10 for the same price. The AC556 was a great rifle and the first full auto I ever shot. The first time I shot it I had it on 3 round burst and thought it didn't function after the first round. That's how fast it was.

many years and I mean many I wanted to get a FA gun even got the paper work to fill out but backed out being broke did not help
I felt the price difference I could buy several semi auto and waste just as much ammo but at the time a ruger ac 5.56 was just over 5k it was the least expensive select fire rifle you could buy ( at retail ) a m16 was about 8k

Because those that already own them like it that way?

Like Dad (North Africa/Sicily/Italy veteran) used to say "If I need a gun like that, I'll just take one from someone who can't use it anymore".

Ooooh …..desired..

That is really nice and in excellent condition. (It's actually a really nice set up.) 👍
How do they compare with Ruger Mini-14's in terms of accuracy? 🤔

It's got plenty of accuracy by volume.

Someone that doesn't understand what transferable means will be along shortly to whine about the price.

That would make a nice Christmas present.

I believe the French Police were outfitted with those but with fixed stocks rather than the folder.

A few well aimed shots, as opposed to "Spray and Pray," is more my style.

So, you take the accuracy of a Mini 14 and make it full auto? That should be a tack driver. I do admit, this has a cool factor.

Tack driver through volume. Just like "The A-Team".

I quite honestly, thought it would go higher than that.
Not a bad price, all in all. IMHO (Given current rules.)
