  Because of the nickel plating , it wouldn't be worth that much to me. RR was the biggest producer of them in WW2 and did a darn good job, so if you like it and are looking for a shooter with no collector value, I'd offer him several hundred less. Bob

  p.p. polish and plating job, might be a good shooter but less than 1/2 the asking price.
