When I order duck out they normally serve it with a side cup of a red rather sweet sauce.
Anyone know what this sauce might be called? Want to buy some locally but don't know what it is called!

I don’t know if you can buy the sauce, maybe. I’ve cooked Peking duck a couple of times and made a wine cherry sauce to pour over the duck when cooked. The sauce is easy to make. Just cook down two bottles of red wine with a cup of sugar until the wine starts to thicken, then add one can of pitted cherries to the sauce, thicken a little more. Pour over duck or you can dip.
I always said, Peking duck with a wine sauce is better than sex.

Only duck I ever had was seasoned with lead shot, chew softly. Same with goose, quail & pheasant.

Stopped by there today and asked the bar tender just what is was they used. He went back to the kitchen for me and said it was called "Minors Zesty Orange Sauce". Now I know!! Wife buys pre-cooked duck from Cosco. Believe it's from Maplehill Farms in Indiana. I just heat it up on the grill and serve it with spatial & whole cranberry sauce. But this sauce makes it. Thanks for the replys.
