I hope they don't put them on the porch and leave !!!

I'm home, and watching for them.

I'm gonna get screwed if they are nor willing to move old out, new in.

$$ for them on the side, if they do. Still gotta cover old stuff, outside.

    Dang it.

    Thank you, Rae.

This is absolutely worst case scenario.

    I'm stressing.

Most new furniture is in two pieces easy to handle.

My couch is in 4 pieces. (Got one box yesterday.) [4 of 4] The two side arms. So I expect 3 more boxes for my Sofa. Recliner, who knows?

Pouring rain is the worst possible scenario.

    Dang it.

I wish you luck Ken. Around here the FedEx guys and gals wouldn't lift a finger to help. They have a schedule to meet and other deliveries to make. Appliance and furniture store delivery guys have usually been helpful but never UPS or FedEx. Bob

It's getting dark now. Pouring rain. This should be really good. ๐Ÿ‘

Full dark. Pouring rain. No delivery. Even though it is scheduled. [By 8pm.]

    This should be great. ๐Ÿ‘

Although I have not heard a thing, I am hoping they realized this delivery would be a nightmare. ๐Ÿค”

I had several friends lined up, to help me out, just in case

I am hoping to see it Monday.

*Delivering them, in the pouring rain, after dark, would have been problematic.

I hope they do not attempt that.

You need high school kids and 20's. The furniture will go right inside.

If you were in West Virginia, you could just leave the old one on the front porch.

Or, I could be like our Meth Head neighbor's, that sold their house - and put the furniture outside and lit it on fire. ๐Ÿค”

It smoldered for days, they just left it. You should have seen the Huge pile of stuff they threw in the front yard and left for the Family that bought the place. I would have been furious. ๐Ÿ˜ก

The whole neighborhood breathed a collective sigh of relief when they were gone.

Jim, I hit like but mean no disrespects to the people of West Virginia, I love the people of West Virginia. After all they use to be a part of Virginia. My son is a grad. "Go Mountaineers"---------------------Ray

Always keep a blue tarp handy. I have one in every vehicle.

Went back to my Track a Package link this AM. It said "Delivered." (Fed-Ex) I thought here we go again, it's not here. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ฌ Just went out to the metal outbuilding 150' away. Yep. 4 big boxes stacked just inside my 30x40' metal outbuilding with one in the rain. (Garage door still not repaired.)

I didn't see or hear them come in at all, and I was watching for them.

Nice. Very nice. Looks like I've got a lot of assembly to do. Apparently they are all broken down. Each box is about 3x3' (roughly.) Too heavy for one person to lift carry. (Me anyway.)

Ha! Ainโ€™t nothing wrong with a good oleโ€™ porch couch! Thatโ€™s high living.

Iโ€™ve enjoyed a few sits on some Giles County porch couches, so Iโ€™d say itโ€™s a toss-up on which side of the state line hosted the original engineers of the porch couch decor.

Of course, down here where weโ€™re living now in SE Georgia, they take it to the next levelโ€ฆ..the Yard Couch!

"Some Assembly Required," my big butt. ๐Ÿค”

"Totally disassembled," is more like it. ๐Ÿ™„

I see a lot of cussing in my near future. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Slow and steady, bro. Slow and steady.

Have you got a handtruck? We keep one like this around. It's great for bringing wood in to feed the stove or moving whatever.

Milwaukee 800 lbs. Capacity 2-in-1 Convertible Hand Truck CHT2N1 - The Home Depot
This Milwaukee Heavy-Duty Convertible Truck has an 800 lbs. load capacity. It easily converts from a 2-wheel vertical truck to a 4-wheel platform cart by pressing down with your foot on the handle release

It's so disassembled, I figure I'll open up the boxes and bring manageable loads in a little at a time.

I've got a heavy duty dolly, but it's no good rolling in the yard. (About 150' - or so away.) Unless I throw down sheets of plywood, which I don't have.

I'm still laughing about "Some Assembly Required." ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚

My "Patience" level is not what it used to be. ๐Ÿ™„

Time to put a harness on buddy, and show him how those Alaskan sled dogs work for their meals!!!! ๐Ÿคฃ. I thank God I have a strong wife and son. With my back and heart, I can't lift heavy stuff like that anymore. Sometimes I will give the guys at work some money, to come help me out. When we move, I'm leaving the gun safes for this reason. I can't move them, and they want 400 to 500 for each safe to move them. I will just buy four new ones or sell most of my collection.

"Some Assembly Required." Gee, you think? ๐Ÿค” Just a tad bit.

Never thought my new Living room set, would get delivered in 6 really big boxes.

I am dreading the assembly. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

I picture a copious amount of Cussing will be involved. ๐Ÿค

*I gave up on them about 7pm and went to bed. It was full dark and pouring. I'm guessing they pulled in and threw it in the metal outbuilding sometime between then and 8pm. The delivery link, said "delivered by 8pm."

You need to get a driveway alarm.....we've got two different sounds depending on where you are....if someone pulls anywhere onto our place I hear a tinkle tinkle or a bing bong alert.

I hate that they didn't knock on your door as they should have. I'm HORRIBLE at putting things together. Nobody better ever sit in a thing I've put together.

Sounds like you should have bought it from a furniture store. Usually get what you pay for.
