You gotta be shi.... pullin' my leg!

This really wouldn't surprise me in the least, however, given the seeming stupidity of the average American these days.

If I fail to get my well deserved bribe shouldn't I be able to write it off as a loss ?

I stole some weed from my neighbor ($500), found a C note on the way out of his house, made $200 hundred selling the weed to teenagers, got caught by a cop, but bribed him to let me go ($1000).

Does @nunn post mean I can deduct $200 from my gross income?

I wonder if the Biden family has read these parts of the IRS code?

    Apparently written by Democrat lawmakers.

When campaigning the republicans when debating needs to mention getting these TAX BURDENS REMOVED.

Another one that Brandon is missing when campaigning. He has cured Global warming. Weather is now Global coldness. Weather is setting cold records.

Now that global warming has been taken care of maybe time to work on CURING Global immigration busing and curing cancer. (appoint a task force of kin folks to re-search such)

That is how they got Al Capone on tax evasion. The actual tax law is very clear “all income is taxable unless specifically excluded by law”. About the only clear section of tax law.

I think when you get caught making and selling shine you are charged for selling untaxed liquor.

Goberment hates to loose the revenue.

At one time ,North carolina required drug dealers to buy and affix tax stamps to their illegal drugs they sold . Much like tax stamps on cigarettes. They were told that buying the stamps was an anonymous procedure and no records of any kind were kept of the purchase. Yeah right ! Don't think it remained law for very long .
