    Must be passed on trate

70 % of the time, my wife sets ours off while frying bacon or pork chops. The latest was three days ago

but I guess at least their tested often lol

I admit I have triggered ours a couple times over the years but rarely And I do most all the bacon frying , it is in my skill level on cooking

Have to add my departed MIL . Her cooking back in the day let's just say the profits of the battery company's would have went up If my inlaws had owned any smoke dectors

But she had a sense of humor about it

MIL thought her family were all Gods and served them burnt sacrifices.

If there's an oops now, my wife will eat it and say, "Mmm, just like Mom used to make."

So I turned off the smoke detectors.

Never had any trouble with wife or smoke detectors in the kitchen. Wife did ask me for a gift once. She said that she would like something new and shinny, and that would go from 0 to over 75 in under 10 seconds. So I bought her a new bathroom scale. After a week or so we were talking again.

I remember 40 years ago. We had battery operated smoke detectors. Every time the time changed to daylight savings time (or back to standard time) we would install new batteries. The first time we cooked bacon, the alarm would go off. We uninstalled the battery until the next time change.

Our smoke detectors put out an incessantly light beep, every other minute (usually at night), when the battery gets too low.🤯

The beeps are much louder (ear splitting).........when the wife AND her sister cook!!🤪

    INCOMING!!!!!!!..........😖😰
