This morning we lost our beautiful old Fairy Queen... I figured she was about 27. Pure Bred papered Arabian....
She will be missed. Such a beauty. Her soul is Free .

Especially when you have had them 20+ years. ❤️
She had Cushing's disease and it had really taken a toll on her over the last couple of years. When you have had them so long they lead a charmed life and you expect they will keep going on with you.

so sorry I have thought about your time together and how a sad thing it was
I was only around one horse a early GF ( this was 46 yrs ago ) she had got him as a 4h project while in High school
her family were all farmers but hers was the only horse in the group
he was a registered quarter horse very handsome looking fellow ( gilding if that's correct term as I think he had been fixed ? I know little about horses obvious.
but her and "Poco king " his name were best buddies and he did not like me if I rode him he did his best to make it hard on me to say the least LOL
it may sound strange but i think about her even now and how sad it must have been for her when her horse passed away knowing how close and how long she had him
