Saban is gone

I hear they are going after Dabo Swinney. I wouldn't want to be the first coach up after Saban. Big expectations placed on whoever is hired and NIL has evened the playing field.

It's no longer about the name and tradition at a school. Who can give the athlete the most money gets the recruit. (Legally now). 😆

Lane Kippen or Kirby Smart if interested are shue ins. I have heard Dion Sanders, Urban Meyers, Butch Jones, Josh Heupel and Eli Drinkwitz among others. They better get it right as I remember the debacle before Saban.

Like many other head coaches......I think Nick could see the writing on the wall.

The day of "The Dynasty" is over...........since the big money schools can "buy" their teams.......virtually every year. 🤫

Gotta be tough to walk away from $12,000,000 a year........though.🤯

When you are the master of the cheat but then the cheat becomes legal for everybody else, your days are over.

He won because of predatory recruiting and paying students. The tide that rolled was made of money. Portals and NIL did away with Saban's secrets for winning.

He'll still get millions. Halftime commentators are made up of retired players and coaches, and they don't work for free.

Hopefully Nick can still do commercials with the AFLAC duck. He has made millions doing these ads.

College football guys don't embarass easily. They will do anything for money.

Why are people surprised when a man retires at 72?

Exactly. That and the fact no other division seemed to be able to work good TV contracts, players only wanted to go where they could get good exposure.

Exactly! I was reading the other day that his net worth is about 95 million bucks. He could spend a couple of million a year and with interest never even touch the principle. I hope he has a long enjoyable retirement. Bob

Bama got their new coach today. Kalen DeBoer from Washington. He just lost to Michigan in the championship. Big shoes to fill and the SEC is a totally different animal, no easy games with anybody in the conference.

Kalen Deboer is headed to his dentist to have several teeth removed so that he can properly pronounce Roll Tide
