Original S&W pistol box?
I was looking at some firearm boxes, and I came across a S&W box on the internet that had different writing/info on the end flap then the same pistol model box that I have?? I know they change the info on box end flaps for model update and other things. Can any body decipher the feature line on this box for me??
Model 63 calbr 22lr Barrel 5 Weight 30
Features 08-A2-SM-GR-BO-SA-SB-FS-CS-ZS
Product 162450 Serial # xxxxxxx
Thanks for your time and for any info that you can pass along!!

Well I don't have a definitive answer for you but quick google search found some info that may help you if you take the time to look at some of the responses: good luck and I hope you get the answers you want.:
first hit on my query:
Box End Label Codes?
I've looked through the FAQs, but I can't find a legend to decode the feature labels on the end of S&W boxes, for instance: 06-A2-MD-GR-BP-SA-SP-FS-CS-ZS. Can anyone help?this has search criteria all the hits, but I didn't look at them all since I'm more of a Ruger fan, try this search to get the rest of the hits:
"Smith & Wesson features label on box Features 08-A2-SM-GR-BO-SA-SB-FS-CS-ZS"

You can find a listing of many codes in the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson by Jim Supica & Richard Nahas. I assume that the contents of this book are subject to copyright laws.
Blank copies of S&W box end labels have been sold by entrepreneurs on the Internet for many years.
