Reticle preference
I like both of these reticles and they are on scopes within my budget. Both have an illuminated center while the rest of the lines are black. Both are glass etched reticles. Both are MOA reticles.
Which do you prefer?
reticle A
or reticle 2

I can miss with anything.😉
Well, there's at least one honest man among us!

I just point and shoot, sometimes I even hit stuff...

I'm in the number 2 column. Even as a reloader , I couldn't afford or wouldn't take the time and expense of components to learn and confirm the use of the hash marks on the upper reticle. And there's something in the back of my mind telling me that if I did, I'd have a barrel with a worn out throat.

@62vld2042 said "First off........all my scopes are Leupold."
I knew there was somethin' I liked about that boy!
I'm the same way, 62. Don't know if I'm stuck in a rut or set in my ways, but all the scoped rifles wear Leupolds.
I've been set in my ways for a few decades..........according to my wife......and more than a few friends.😉
.........and it'll take more than a few tow trucks..........to drag me out of the ruts I've gotten into over the years.😇

I've been shooting a 6.5 Creedmoor lately and find the 'hash marks' helpful. This is a very accurate rifle/cartridge that 'bucks the wind' great BUT somewhat 'trajectory challenged'. With a couple of compensating marks, it's quite easy to get the correct holdover for 300-400 yards. I don't have much need for more range than that.

No Christmas Tree or Empire State Building option? Of those two the first one.

UPDATE:
I bought the Hawke Endurance 4-16x50. It has reticle #2 from the original pics above.
And it's fantastic! The minimalist view and the illuminated center dot are excellent.
