Local VA Representative Breakfast

It would be great to have something like this without having to drive great distances to attend!

My area here in Michigan has a VA Clinic 10 miles away from home and I consider myself Blessed for that! The newer programs for getting medical treatments through civilian hospitals and care facilities that are close by have been awesome also. The nearest VA Hospital is 175 miles to travel and is in a city where you don't want to find yourself in after dark!

I keep abreast of a lot of Veteran activities, programs, updates, etc. via E-Mails that come through the VA Hospital in Saginaw. Probably at least 5 or 6 messages a week that inform me of more goings on than I can comprehend sometimes! Some info is very good and some is quite scary for a "normal" MALE human being. That said, this is how I stay connected with the program.

Made it to the VA Breakfast on the Square.

Had a few speakers. the VA Rep, and and home health care specialist that deals in helping Veterans. A few new folks looking for some help with benefits. Even a service dog showed for the left over sausages (LOL),

Had about 20 folks filtering in and out in the 2 hours.

The VA Representative actually services about five counties and based out of Glasgow. in Barren County, KY

Sounds like someone interested in and good at what he does.

    Good for him and you.

My local rep... not even close.
