Wire pistol stocks

Years ago a man in Ohio i believe , used to replicate Stevens wire stocks for pistols. They were identical as the man did an excellent job. There was no serial number put on the stock so that you could match the number of the frame you have if you choose to. Putting your number on a report stock is fraud as far as I'm concerned.

I have one of these stocks and was wondering if he is still in business. I have the stock on a beautiful pistol but it has no number. It does add greatly to the appearance of the gun .

Does anyone know the mans name and if he is still making stocks.. Or is anyone else making retro stocks?

  You know it is against the law to put a stock on your pistol? This is bait for the ATF right?

  Thanks for your comments. Stevens pistols came with many length barrels one of which is 18 inches.

  The pistols by Stevens were classified a Curios and Relics by the ATF years ago.

  Also if the overall length is 28 or more inches even by todays standards it would be legal.
