After I read william81's post on Stealth Cam trail cameras, I ordered a wildview 16 digital camera for 39.95

The camera takes much better pictures than my Moultrie camera does, much clearer and brighter with more detail.

These cameras are currently on sale for $34.99. If you are looking for a trail camera that won't bust your budget and produce nice high quality pictures (the night vision pictures are super crisp and detailed) then you should check these out.

They also have a "cell" camera on sale for only $99.

    I got a Stealth Cam for Christmas that sends pictures to my phone.

    Took a long time with customer support to get it set up.

    $48 gets me 250 pictures.

    I had to buy a mini similar card and 8 lithium batteries.

    I didn't get one for $39.95 - but I did order one that comes with batteries and a 16-GB card for $43.00. Going to try to find out if it is dogs from a housing area or coyotes coming into the north end of the pasture that the wife's horses and donkey are watching. If coyotes - try to find out when they are likely to be there and introduce them to my 22-250.

    Non-cellular game camera's experience's:

    I use the Game cameras for security, hunting areas, trespassers, deter thieves, Hog/varmit control and deer hunting.

    I use some Stealth Cam approx $40 area non cellular cameras. They have been going like the energizer bunny for about 4 years. Only complaint is some of them has a slight learning curve for programming, especially if they only require re-programming once a year or so.

    Only thing I've noticed is if one of them Stealth Cams starts not detecting (missing pictures or videos) usually needs batteries and still showing that batteries are at 50% area and should be ok, but the batteries are actually bad.

    The $40-60 area Wild game Innovations (WGI) are a big joke. I would not use any WGI cameras if they were free. I get a bad taste in my mouth just trying to type WGI just now. I've spent more time and money returning their cameras for Warranty than I paid for the cameras and CS is not user friendly to get a RMA. Had about 3 of their cameras at same time purchased as a package on sale deal and the cameras were bypassing each other during mailing headed back for Warranty. No 3 of them was in use at same time. I now use the non-working erratic WGI cameras as dummy security cameras, placed so as they look like security cameras (lights will flash like they are taking pictures) and no one will even bother to steal the WGI cameras. Makes me wonder if thieves know that WGI cameras do not work, so not worth stealing.

    Moultrie $100 area cameras have left a bad taste in my mouth also. Seem to quit few days after the warranty.

    I've had fairly good luck with Non-cellular Bushnell $75-100 cameras. But some of Bushnells lower priced cameras SD cards cannot be viewed on a Android device (cell phone) if the SD card is formatted in the camera.(and Bushnell tech's will not tell you such) Have to be viewed on a Windows device, especially videos and then SD card formatted (erased) using Windows or even another model/type of camera.

    I have some of the older models Bushnells that can take a $12 external 6v gel cell deer feeder battery and I use the 6v deer feeder gel cell bat's and these Cameras will run very long time in cold weather using the external gel cell bats. Have to get the external bat camera plug from Radio Shack.

    Bushnell is getting away from cameras with the external battery jacks.

    I tried one of Bushnell's $100 solar panels on a Bushnell camera and water got inside the solar panel and ruined/corroded the panel. (not waterproof around the edges. (lasted just past the warranty period)

    I've had good luck with Browning $125 area cameras, easy to set up and some of them I can use a external 12v gel cell battery and they will operate forever on the external battery.

    Cannot rely on cellular cameras in my area, to many hills and valleys, cell phone service is too iffy and Verizon does not care once they are receiving their sub money. I've already got enough stuff I pay for that does not work including a cell phone and Verizon's CS sucks big air. (Verizon CS service for this neck of the woods seem to be to be highly trained USED CAR people/robots trying to go AI)

    Experience is what you get when what you bought is not what you wanted.
