You have created what they (the male cats) call paradise city, free food, women that love them and mice in the barn to chase when they’re board and need exercise. Hell, if I were a cat I would would come and live with you. Lol

Our little town has an internet group site on F|B that I joined a few years ago. I was thinking it would be nice to know what is going on in the neighborhood. Seems most people posting there are looking for their lost cat or dog!

If it is not about a lost pet, it is about a found pet looking for the owner! 😁

Careful Kassey, I believe it only takes 6 cats to be classified as a "Cat Lady" 😸

Had dogs all my life. Our last one died 4 years ago. This black young cat stared to hang out at our sliding door last winter! For the warmth maybe? Anyway fed it and it wouldn't then leave. Finally got it to come inside (had to leave the slider open a bit) and now it's like a puppy dog to me. Greats me in the mornings, follows me around the house, gets on my lap when watching TV & just unbelievable closeness😘

Here is my cat. He is laying on my legs that are up on a footstool. He will sleep and snore here for hours until my legs fall asleep. He has slimmed down a bit he has been on a forced diet on half rations.

That's a biggun! Are you sure that's only 1 cat?

So! SW0320, you now cut Garfield's lasagna in half then. 😁

You should see my cat. He has a belly that compares to yours quite well!

Murder is the black cat...she is the first stray that we "coaxed" inside. Meatloaf is now 8 months old and weighs almost 20 pounds. Murder is the typical skiddish cat that will surprise you and jump in your lap, but if you reach down to pet her she is GONE. Meatloaf wants to get in the middle of whatever you're doing and nap.

Ha ha ha.....Meatloaf would probably let you. I doubt you could turn the clippers on without Murder being a block away in the blink of an eye.

Kevin L and Brookwood. Yes it is just one cat, he was a biggin in that picture. No cutting of food just one small can a day instead of a can in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Half rations have worked he has lost 3 pounds. The problem is the wife is threatening to do the same to me.

When I was driving the Big Rig there was a TA truck stop on I-10 in Louisiana that I often stopped at. One day, I saw Mrs. Cat and 2 kittens. They were scrawny and starving. I went to the grocery store and bought a ten pound bag of dry cat food. I dumped out 2 pounds of food for the cats. They lived under a storage shed next to the truck stop.

I'd stop by there 3 times a week and dump out 2 pounds of top quality dry food. In two months these cats were feeling much better. After four months, I stopped by, and there was Mrs. Cat and 5 kittens. I had gotten her so healthy that she had cranked out another litter. I realized that I was creating the problem I was trying to solve, homeless cats.

If you are going to care for these strays you have to get the female cats fixed.

Here's todays picture of our cat Junior. He's doing what he does best. Funny that for his size, he is actually a very picky eater. Only will eat dry Purina Original flavor Cat Naturals, made with chicken and salmon. We've tried to put him on other much pricier cat kibbles but no such luck.

He will not even give an open can of the best tuna a second glance!

I've got an appointment for the femaile stray to be fixed on the 6th. The problem is HOW do I get her there? She is super sweet, but not around much. The boys come and go, I'll see them once a week at most....she has been staying in the barn. She is pretty tame, but the one that comes in and out of the house (named Murder) gave her a real fight the other day and she was nowhere to be seen for a week. So, right now I'm planning on getting her fixed....I just might have to pay for her to be boarded for a while until she is healed 100% because I cannot imagine bringing her into the house. Murder would kill her.
