Spring Must Have Sprung In North-Central Florida!
There was a flight of sandhill cranes that came over this afternoon around 1:15 pm - going from Paynes Prairie near Gainesville, Florida going north to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge to spend a few days before continuing their trip further northward. Was a bluebird sky with no clouds and they were way high up.

Yep, I’ve been seeing ‘em hanging around here in SE Georgia a good bit lately. Interesting looking at posted range maps that this region (South GA/North FL) is their only year-round spot other than Cuba. I wonder why?
